The resin is slightly softer than the stone, therefore, the polished surface becomes slightly undulating. This gives Riverstone an aesthetically pleasant effect and improves the scratch resistance. In actual fact, as the surface is not flat, even dust or hair are invisible!
The uneven surface is also self draining making Riverstone suitable for wet environment such as bathrooms, steam rooms as well as any other indoor area that may become wet for whatever reason.
This gives Riverstone an edge over other natural polished material, that although may look as elegant as Riverstone, may lack of proper certification for all environments.
The resin is also completely waterproof and stain proof, and the stones, that already absorb very little water, are micro-sealed with resin during the manufacturing process. A further waxing process is applied at the end to ensure complete protection.
